Help us compile a list of the Top 100 Toys That "Should Never Have Been Made". If you have a childhood memory of a toy that was either (1) incredibly stupid, (2) less than subtly obscene, (3) totally scary-bizarre, or (4) just plain dangerous, e-mail us with your strange story and maybe it will make the list! Also, until the list is assembled, we will feature different stories right here at this site. Once the list is assembled, viewers will be able to vote for their favorite choice for the "toy that should never have been made". The winning toy will be dubbed "The Most Horrible Toy" and featured on this page, including its history and horrible stories. And finally, those of you who happened to vote for the winner, will in turn, win something! I'm not sure what yet..., but it will be small and practically worthless. But, in any case, thank you for voting, and helping to compile the list! Besides, it's probably good therapy for you.



THE FIRST OF
THE WORST...



How about this one for example? Behold! The incredibly silly "Bubble Hat"! (Of all the silly strap-ons...) Trust me, you can get any love partner you want while sporting this fashionably fun gear. Come on! "Be A Bubble Head!" (By the way, this photo also features a second possible contestant; "Bubble Solution in Glass Jars". I ask you, what marketing genius thought of that? He must have been thinking, "Well, kids will drop these about two minutes after opening them, and then their parents will have to buy more." Yeah, well maybe on the way back from the emergency room, after they get the glass out of your foot! O.K., it was the pre-plastic era, but come-on.)







...And how about these two ankle breakers; "Jump Shoes" and "Space Boots"? If you had a pair of either of these, then you know that the box made them look like more fun than they really were. In fact, they really only made you trip ...a lot...and if you were extra unfortunate, perhaps you unknowingly let one of your toes get in the way of the metal, guillotine-like jump shoes, while someone else was wearing them...like I did.





O.K., you get the idea, right? Got any good stories for this contest? Or maybe you would just like to suggest a possible toy contestant. We would love to have photos of the toy that you think is "just plain wrong", if you can produce them. We would especially appreciate photos that are childhood pictures of you with the said toy.
